West Suffolk College is seeking a Lecturer in Early Years Education to develop and deliver engaging further education programmes in Education and Childcare, and contribute to the ongoing development of courses and curriculum within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching to student groups of up to 30 students, ensuring all learning objectives are met.
- Use a range of teaching methods, including digital tools, to promote critical thinking and knowledge application.
- Coordinate practical teaching sessions and manage assessment activities, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, resources, and joint research or projects.
- Engage with students, parents and external partners to promote learning outcomes and support student progress.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Relevant industry qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine commitment to early years education.
- Previous teaching, training or childcare experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
