Community Use Duty Officer (Sports and Leisure) – will act as the first point of contact for hirers and fitness suite users, providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere during community use hours.
The role will involve securing the site and ensuring the appropriate Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
Shift pattern: Week 1 – 9 hours; Week 2 – 13.5 hours (rotating basis: week 1 includes one 4.5 hour weekend shift and one 4.5 hour Thursday shift; week 2 includes one 4.5 hour weekend shift, one 4.5 hour Thursday shift, and one 4.5 hour Wednesday shift). Additional regular opportunities for holiday cover and Auditorium hires may arise.
- Oversee the Sports Education Centre (opening hours: Monday‑Thursday 5.15 pm‑9.45 pm; Saturday 8.45 am‑1.15 pm; Sunday 8.45 am‑1.15 pm)
- Maintain the safety and security of the site during community use periods
- Respond promptly to visitor inquiries and facilitate use of facilities
- Co‑operate with other staff to ensure smooth operation of community programmes
