Overview
Suffolk County Council is looking for an Administration Assistant Manager. Location: Endeavour House, Ipswich IP1 2BX – Hybrid working. Salary: £28,598 per annum (pro rata). Hours: 19 hours per week. Contract: Permanent.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administration staff within the Business Support team.
- Work closely with the Corporate Parenting Service, Heads of Service and team managers.
- Supervise and access in-house training to support your role.
- Provide leadership, communications, and issue resolution in a solution-focused manner.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Relevant experience and knowledge to manage staff in a busy, fast-paced environment to include recruitment, training, performance reviews and staff development.
- Good communication to provide advice on administrative procedures and handle people issues.
- Proactive in assessing and reviewing procedures to streamline and improve processes.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Organised with ability to prioritise own work and the work of others to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge in Data Protection, Business Continuity, Health and Safety, HR, Recruitment and Finance.
