Help build Suffolk's next specialist automotive workshop – Prestige, Performance & Modern Classics. Suffolk Classic Services is a successful business, specialising in the restoration, servicing and maintenance of classic vehicles of all marques and ages. We have a loyal clientele, many of whom are wanting us to maintain their newer vehicles.
To be able to offer this, we have invested in a major workshop expansion which we will complete during Summer/Autumn 2026. This bespoke new facility dedicated to prestige, performance and specialist vehicles – the classics of the future – will maintain and service all marques, from Jaguars to Aston Martins, Porsche, BMW and others.
We are seeking an experienced Master Technician / Senior Vehicle Technician to play a key role in the next chapter of our business, and be the key individual to help us recruit the right talent and make the new workshop as successful as the existing one. This is an opportunity for a highly skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and wants to help set up and work in a professional, well‑equipped workshop alongside fellow enthusiasts.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the diagnosis, servicing, repair and enhancement of a wide range of prestige and performance vehicles, while maintaining the exceptionally high standards our customers expect.
- Advanced fault finding and diagnostics using dealer‑level diagnostic equipment
- Electrical and electronic system diagnosis
- Servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards
- Engine, drivetrain and chassis repairs
- Performance and vehicle enhancement projects
- Inspection and quality control procedures
- Supporting and mentoring junior technicians where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate job records and technical documentation
About You
- Significant experience as a Master Technician or Senior Technician
- Proven diagnostic and fault‑finding ability
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle electronics and systems
- Experience working on prestige, specialist or performance vehicles
- A methodical and quality‑focused approach
- Excellent attention to detail
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Manufacturer Master Technician accreditation
- Knowledge of specialist, prestige or high‑performance brands including Jaguar
- Workshop Supervisory experience
