Summary
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and capable Transport Planner to join our busy depot in Fareham.
About The Role
- £32,291 per year + 10% bonus + benefits
- Permanent / full time basis
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Based at Fareham
Responsibilities
- Take charge of the regional transport function and ensure it runs like clockwork.
- Serve as the immediate line manager for drivers: allocate work, deliver instructions, monitor progress, and check that all tasks are completed by day end.
- Handle any grievance or disciplinary matters.
- Maintain excellence in vehicle maintenance and driver checks, striving for constant general improvement and increased profitability.
- Manage people, keep accurate records, and deal with queries and problems.
- Apply knowledge of the waste or transport industry and good numerical skills.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, in person and on paper.
- Friendly, approachable manner and great teamwork skills.
- Supervisory experience is essential.
- Full driving licence is essential.
