About the role
When you join SUEZ, you get more than a brand‑new role. Your work will help us deliver innovative and environmentally responsible solutions for water and waste management, preserving and restoring the planet’s natural capital.
Responsibilities
- Assist Site Supervisors with day‑to‑day management of the team.
- Co‑ordinate with Bulk Haulage & Trading colleagues to ensure resources for moving material.
- Help site management achieve daily production targets and maximise production time.
- Complete daily permit to works.
- Maintain Shift Logs and provide daily feedback on performance to teams.
- Carry out toolbox talks for Safe Systems and Safety Alerts.
- Assist Supervisors with weekly audits, action plans, corrective actions, inductions, briefings and training.
- Assist Supervisors with employee performance management.
- Carry out Waste Acceptance Checks on incoming material and reject as required per customer contract.
- Ensure segregation of all recyclable materials is maximised.
- Control housekeeping activities to meet Safe Systems of Work and company policies.
- Promote a culture focused on health and safety.
- Ensure equipment is used and maintained safely, report defects, maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Carry out 5’s audits and SIM observations to promote safety and lean culture.
- Ensure SUEZ complies with legal duties for employee health, safety and welfare.
- Perform any other duties reasonably requested within the job scope.
Requirements
- Self‑motivated, capable of working as part of a team.
- Flexible approach, may be required to work overtime.
- Ideal candidate holds or will achieve ISOH Managing Safely Qualification.
- Computer literate.
- Previous experience in a first‑line management role is an advantage.
