Working Pattern: Full time Monday – Friday 8hrs a day between 6AM and 6PM

About the role

When you join SUEZ, you get more than a brand‑new role. Your work will help us deliver innovative and environmentally responsible solutions for water and waste management, preserving and restoring the planet’s natural capital.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Site Supervisors with day‑to‑day management of the team.
  • Co‑ordinate with Bulk Haulage & Trading colleagues to ensure resources for moving material.
  • Help site management achieve daily production targets and maximise production time.
  • Complete daily permit to works.
  • Maintain Shift Logs and provide daily feedback on performance to teams.
  • Carry out toolbox talks for Safe Systems and Safety Alerts.
  • Assist Supervisors with weekly audits, action plans, corrective actions, inductions, briefings and training.
  • Assist Supervisors with employee performance management.
  • Carry out Waste Acceptance Checks on incoming material and reject as required per customer contract.
  • Ensure segregation of all recyclable materials is maximised.
  • Control housekeeping activities to meet Safe Systems of Work and company policies.
  • Promote a culture focused on health and safety.
  • Ensure equipment is used and maintained safely, report defects, maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Carry out 5’s audits and SIM observations to promote safety and lean culture.
  • Ensure SUEZ complies with legal duties for employee health, safety and welfare.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably requested within the job scope.

Requirements

  • Self‑motivated, capable of working as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach, may be required to work overtime.
  • Ideal candidate holds or will achieve ISOH Managing Safely Qualification.
  • Computer literate.
  • Previous experience in a first‑line management role is an advantage.
