This is a part-time role within our Northumberland Team. We are looking for Site Operatives to join our expanding team.
About The Role
Location: North Sunderland HWRC, Near Seahouses, Northumberland, NE68 7UP
- Salary: £12.39 per hour
- Working hours: Summer (April to October): 24 hours; Winter (November to March): 21 hours
- Shift pattern: 2 days per week, rotating between Friday and Monday; working every other weekend.
- Full PPE provided
What will I be doing?
- Advising and assisting the public on how to use the site to maximize recovery of materials deposited.
- Maintaining accurate records of material removal and all site activities.
- Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
- Undertaking first aider duties and fire warden duties on site.
- Performing any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.
This role offers an ideal opportunity to learn about the recovery and recycling of household waste.
What are the requirements?
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will obtain a full understanding of the site license/permit and work to ensure site operations exceed required standards.
A flexible approach to work is advantageous, as you may need to cover holiday and sick days if required.
The successful applicant will undertake personal development to acquire skills in waste acceptance, operation, and maintenance of site equipment. Basic administration skills for recording data in SUEZ R & R UK Ltd.’s systems will also be beneficial.
There is potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health & safety. We seek an enthusiastic team player to join the current site team and ensure operations exceed standards.
