Your normal hours of work are a guaranteed minimum of 100 hours per calendar month (average 23 hours per week), with additional hours usually offered. You will be notified of your working hours with at least 2 weeks\’ notice. Each shift includes a paid 30-minute lunch break. You may be asked to work with less than 2 weeks\’ notice; however, you have the right to decline these hours.
The duties include:
- Advising and assisting the public on how to use the site to maximize recovery of deposited materials.
- Maintaining accurate records of material removal and all site activities.
- Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person to ensure the site has space to segregate and store materials correctly.
- Undertaking first aider duties and fire warden duties on site.
- Performing any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.
What are the requirements?
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to obtain a full understanding of the site license/permit and work to ensure site operations exceed standards. A flexible approach to work is advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days. The successful applicant will need to undertake personal development to acquire skills in waste acceptance, operation, and maintenance of site equipment. Basic administration skills for recording data on SUEZ R & R UK’s reporting systems are also advantageous. Must be able to drive and have own transport.
