As a Mobile Plant Operative, you’ll help keep our sustainable waste and resource operations running smoothly, safely and efficiently. Whether you’re an experienced operator or looking to take the next step in your career, we’ll support you with training, development and a strong team culture.
Working as part of a collaborative site team, you’ll operate a range of mobile plant and fixed machinery to support safe and efficient site operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating loading shovels, FLTs and tele‑handlers to load various vehicles such as curtain‑sided trailers, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors.
- Safely operating fixed machinery (including baling equipment), completing pre‑operational checks and carrying out routine daily maintenance.
- Ensuring all waste deliveries comply with the site licence and completing associated documentation accurately.
- Inspecting incoming waste against waste acceptance criteria, reporting any non‑compliant loads, and guiding customer vehicles to correct disposal areas.
- Supporting a clean, safe and compliant working environment, including assisting with sampling, shift clean‑downs and general housekeeping.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in their work and cares about safety, quality and sustainability. It’s preferred you bring experience operating mobile plant, ideally with CITB, CPCS, NPORS or equivalent certification (however training available for the right candidate). A flexible approach, a strong safety mindset and openness to continuous improvement.
