What will I be doing?
We’ll look to you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all mechanical areas of our plant. That means you’ll be tackling everything from fitting and fabrication, to welding, cutting and burning. Expect complex overhauls of machinery and inspections of key equipment including gearboxes, crane, conveying and hydraulic systems. At the same time, you’ll be a valued member of the team, supporting colleagues across different functions. Please note that this role forms part of a 24-hour call-out rota, covering plant breakdowns outside normal working hours.
What are the requirements?
To join us in this key role, you’ll need an Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience) and previous maintenance engineering experience, gained in a process plant / engineering or heavy engineering environment. Any steam raising or boiler experience would be highly beneficial. You’ll be qualified to at least City & Guilds/NVQ level 3, combined with a Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH) and the ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). With a basic knowledge of electrical systems plus welding experience, you’ll be equipped to excel in this important technical role.
