Key Responsibilities
- Carry out service, maintenance and repair of a wide range of heavy goods and articulated vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify faults across mechanical and electrical systems
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and perform testing
- Work in compliance with DVSA standards, Health & Safety regulations, and safe workshop practices
- Use modern diagnostic tools and ancillary equipment
- Engage in ongoing training and development to further your technical skills
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair (HGV preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance
- Ability to inspect and service vehicles to DVSA standards and beyond
- An HGV Licence (Class 1 or 2) – desirable, but not essential (training available)
- IRTEC accreditation or inspection training – desirable (can be provided)
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics – advantageous, but full training can be offered
