What will I be doing? It is an ideal opportunity to learn about the recovery and recycling of household waste. This role is primarily to provide cover for holidays, training days, and emergencies. SUEZ R & R UK is committed to the training and progression of its employees and can offer you the opportunity for future advancement and development within our company.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the vehicles and ensuring they are clean and functional.
- Reporting any issues to the vehicle maintenance and Traffic Team.
- Control and cleanliness of the yard at Higher Swan Lane.
- Ensuring compliance with legal duties in respect to health, safety, and welfare of employees and others affected by actions or omissions.
- Co-operating with SUEZ R & R and other employees to comply with site permit, applicable legislation, and SUEZ R & R Policies and Procedures.
- Downloading Vehicle Tachographs as required.
- Performing any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.
- Delivering and collecting vehicles for maintenance support.
- Recording a daily defect for equipment and vehicles being used/operated.
Who will I report to? Traffic Team, Workshop Supervision, Service Delivery Manager.
What are the requirements? We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the site licence/permit, vehicle, power wash equipment, and work to ensure that site operations exceed the required standards. Other requirements include:
- A flexible approach to work, as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
- The successful applicant will be required to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste vehicle awareness, operation, and maintenance of site equipment.
- Having basic administration skills for recording data on SUEZ R & R UK’s reporting systems will also be advantageous.
