What will I be doing? You'll deal with your clients directly but also be responsible for those of your Account Managers. Your aim? To improve revenue and profitability; identifying opportunities to develop each account further by promoting the 'circular economy' – one where waste gets a second life. You will have a portfolio of clients yourself - but also manage a team of Key Account Managers each having their own portfolios both regionally and nationally. You'll also create action plans to make customer service outstanding and analyse customer needs to check they're getting the right support. Delivering on contractual commitments with Recycling, sustainability and social value commitments bespoke to each contract.
What are the requirements? With a keen commercial mind, you'll be used to managing corporate-level accounts worth £1m or more. You've worked in a B2B environment before and also managed more junior staff. To succeed, you'll need to draw on your experience of managing service levels; maximizing profit; and creating a great customer experience. It's also important that you can network with key stakeholders and comply with industry rules and regulations. Knowledge of the UK waste and resource industry would be helpful, but it's your account management skills that count.
Our commitment to inclusion: We are committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for everyone — across all generations and backgrounds. If you require reasonable adjustments during any stage of the recruitment process or while in post, please let us know and we will be happy to support you.
