In return we offer a basic salary of £28,111 plus a company van (available for personal use), company pension (3% employer contribution), 3% bonus, sick pay (6 months full & 6 months half pay), 20 holiday days plus bank holidays, and a benefits catalogue.
About The Role
Carrying out environmental monitoring and reporting, maintaining and operating landfill site control systems and recording environmental/operational monitoring data. Ensuring compliance with site environmental permits while operating and observing SUEZ policies and procedures and the Health and Safety Policy. Working within the Operations Department of Landfill Energy, collaborating closely with Operations Managers and fellow team members. Monitoring and operating landfill site systems including landfill gas, leachate, groundwater, surface water and other parameters, as required by the individual environmental permits for a wide range of operational and non‑operational restored landfill sites. Performing administrative tasks such as measuring and recording site data, producing reports, assisting in the implementation of monitoring management plans, updating records, interpreting analysis reports, and assisting in specialist project work.
What are the requirements?
- Demonstrate initiative and be able to work alone; possess good communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a willingness to undertake training to acquire new skills.
- Be able to work reasonable flexible hours and travel to other regions as required by the business.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be computer literate.
- Experience of landfill sites is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
