About you
Are you a self-motivated and experienced therapist with proven leadership and management skills? Would you like to work in a cutting-edge bereavement counselling service that is growing and developing to meet continuous demand for high quality professional counselling. We are entering an exciting phase of growth as we transition to a flexible support model offering both single-session therapy and up to six-session interventions. We are seeking a qualified and accredited BACP, UKCP or HCPC therapist (psychologist or counsellor) to deliver focused, outcome-informed grief support remotely.
• Qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy or Psychology.
• Accredited member of BACP, UKCP or HCPC.
• Additional qualification of at least 80 hours study time in online counselling.
• Additional training in short term counselling models
You will have a strong clinical focus, the ability to work within brief interventions, and confidence in using outcome measures. All sessions are delivered online.

About the job
The main purpose of this position is to support the Clinical Services Manager in running the online bereavement counselling service and palliative care counselling service, providing level 3 NICE 2004, time limited, one to one online psychological therapy to clients. You will lead a team of online bereavement counsellors by providing clinical and operational support and management supervision. Some of the duties are;
• To support the Clinical Services Manager, Clinical Operations Manager and Head of Grief and Bereavement in the development, implementation and review of operational policies relating to the service
• To provide single-session therapy to individuals experiencing bereavement (national)
• To provide pre-death support to patients in our hospice communities and their families (local but online, remote)
• To contribute to the development of best practice within the service
• To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, ethics, national and local
policies and procedures
• To drive continuous improvement activity, in particular carrying out auditing and
data collection and analysis
• To support the Clinical Services Manager to investigate counselling
incidents, complaints or safeguarding concerns
