Sue Ryder is now seeking to appoint three Trustees to its Board at a significant point in its development.

Trustees play a central role in guiding the charity’s strategic direction, overseeing performance and supporting the Executive Team to deliver high quality, person-centred services.

Working collaboratively as part of the Board and its committees, they contribute independent judgement and constructive challenge, helping to ensure strong governance, financial sustainability and continued impact.

These appointments come as the organisation seeks to transform experiences of dying and grief across the UK, with particular interest in individuals bringing clinical, financial or commercial expertise.

Those with clinical expertise will offer deep insight into palliative and end of life care, while candidates from commercial or financial backgrounds will support growth, sustainability and robust stewardship.

All Trustees will demonstrate the ability to engage effectively at Board level, navigate complexity and provide balanced challenge.

They will share a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, an understanding of or interest in health and social care, and a genuine motivation to improve the lives of people facing dying or grief.
