Reuse Supervisor
£25,000 – £30,000 pa plus private pension & additional benefits
Location: Northampton
Join a team that shapes the future of one of the UK\’s largest healthcare charity retailers. We are seeking a Retail Reuse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a team responsible for sorting, minor garment repairs, and upcycling non-saleable fabric items. This role supports Sue Ryder\’s mission to be environmentally sustainable and to increase reuse of donated items.
Reporting to the Reuse Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and optimizing operational processes at our Northampton site, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the sorting and garment repair team, managing daily activities including sorting, repairs, and upcycling.
- Manage team scheduling according to operational needs and volume.
- Design and implement practical processes for sorting, repairs, and upcycling, aligned with guidance from the Reuse Manager.
- Optimize existing processes to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor and report team performance using KPIs related to volume and productivity.
- Collaborate with the Reuse Manager to assess financial impacts and provide regular updates.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven supervisory experience in a production, logistics, or garment processing environment, with a focus on team management and process improvement.
- Understanding of process optimization, quality control, and productivity management.
- Interest or experience in upcycling and sustainability within textiles or garments.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies in fast-paced settings.
- Strong team management, motivation, and training skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide constructive feedback to senior management.
