As our new Shop Assistant, you will help us create a well‑presented shop where customers get great service. You will sort and size stock and be on hand to help customers with their purchases. You may often be moving stock, which may involve lifting heavy goods or furniture.
Responsibilities
- Help maximise donated income through proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock to agreed levels, and stock planning.
- Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring you and your colleagues' health and safety is a priority.
- Manage effective stock processes to keep the shop well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock at all times.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in‑store campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives.
- Provide excellent customer service in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
- Cash handling and till operations.
- Basic IT skills (email, instant messaging, video calls).

Location & Hours
Unit 13 Bramley Shopping Centre, Lower Town Street, Bramley. 15 hours per week over 7 days (inc. weekends). Work starts at 8.45 am; we do not expect teams to work past 5.15 pm. We have Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day off.
Pay & Benefits
£12.21 per hour (starting 1 April 2026, rate increases to at least £12.71 per hour).
