The reception team are often the first people visitors speak to when they arrive, they play an important role in making visitors feel welcome. In this role you’ll provide a warm, friendly greeting and support the smooth running of our reception area. THIS VOLUNTEER ROLE IS FOR OUT OF HOURS (evenings) & WEEKEND RECEPTION DUTIES ONLY

Activities will usually include:

  • Responding to requests for information
  • Answering phone calls and taking messages
  • Admin tasks like photocopying and printing
  • Greeting visitors to the hospice
  • Showing patients and families around the building
  • Making refreshments
  • Keeping up to date on the charity's work so you can answer questions

How often we’d like your support:

We hope you’ll volunteer 3 - 6 hours a week, but all our roles are flexible to suit you.
