Hybrid role with 2 days a week in the Colchester office. Full time – 37.5 hours per week. Salary £25,800 per annum plus an excellent benefits package.

About the role

The Recruitment Coordinator ensures a smooth and positive journey for new starters from offer to their first day. You coordinate all onboarding activities, maintain compliance, and support volunteer recruitment.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees
  • Process and check compliance documentation
  • Issue employment contracts and manage pre-employment checks
  • Request and obtain references
  • Liaise with new starters and hiring managers to provide updates
  • Manage DBS, occupational health and professional registration checks
  • Maintain accurate onboarding records and reports
  • Support volunteer recruitment and arrange volunteer taster sessions
  • Provide administrative support to the wider Resourcing Team during busy periods

Highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about delivering an outstanding candidate experience. Enjoy building relationships, managing multiple priorities and working collaboratively.

Minimum essential criteria

  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Confidence working with systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience working within recruitment, onboarding, HR or people administration
  • Experience managing compliance or pre-employment checking processes
  • Experience working within a fast-paced administrative environment
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems or recruitment platforms
