About us: At the Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading, and through our Day Services in Newbury and Wokingham, we look after people living with life-limiting conditions, and offer support for families too. We provide expert care and support across Berkshire.

About the Role: We are looking for Housekeeping Assistants to work as part of our friendly and established team on an ad hoc basis, covering leave and sickness when needed. You will be working with a team to maintain the highest possible standard of cleanliness throughout our Hospice and Day Hospice. Your job will include laundry, daily vacuuming, mopping and cleaning of patients' rooms, bathrooms and toilets.

Experience and skills required:

  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations
