Hours: 37.5 Hours per week over 7 days

Pay: ÂŁ13.50 per hour + rewards & benefits

About the role

As a member of the retail team at Sue Ryder Charity shop, you will help inspire communities and contribute to increasing income that supports our care and support services.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive business, push sales and achieve targets.
  • Lead the team to deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
  • Work with the local community to generate donated stock.
  • Recruit, train, and retain a volunteer team.
  • Set high standards of merchandising, housekeeping and health and safety.
  • Manage effective stock processes and maintain a well‐merchandised shop with fresh seasonal stock.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder and support in‐store campaigns and national fundraising initiatives.
  • Operate the Epos system efficiently.

Minimum essential criteria

  • Customer service experience.
  • People management experience (reviews, 1:1s, volunteer recruitment, team meetings).
  • Experience with KPI and target setting.
  • Strong IT skills (admin, emails, instant messaging, video calls).
  • Organisational skills.
  • Experience of lone working.

Desirable criteria

  • High‐street retail or charity retail managerial experience.
  • Health and Safety knowledge.
  • Basic Microsoft Office or equivalent skills.
  • Background in high‐street retail, leisure or hospitality.
  • Experience in merchandising and stock rotation.
