About the role
As a member of the retail team at Sue Ryder Charity shop, you will help inspire communities and contribute to increasing income that supports our care and support services.
Key responsibilities
- Drive business, push sales and achieve targets.
- Lead the team to deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
- Work with the local community to generate donated stock.
- Recruit, train, and retain a volunteer team.
- Set high standards of merchandising, housekeeping and health and safety.
- Manage effective stock processes and maintain a wellâmerchandised shop with fresh seasonal stock.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder and support inâstore campaigns and national fundraising initiatives.
- Operate the Epos system efficiently.
Minimum essential criteria
- Customer service experience.
- People management experience (reviews, 1:1s, volunteer recruitment, team meetings).
- Experience with KPI and target setting.
- Strong IT skills (admin, emails, instant messaging, video calls).
- Organisational skills.
- Experience of lone working.
Desirable criteria
- Highâstreet retail or charity retail managerial experience.
- Health and Safety knowledge.
- Basic Microsoft Office or equivalent skills.
- Background in highâstreet retail, leisure or hospitality.
- Experience in merchandising and stock rotation.
