Shop Assistant — Salford Precinct 67 – 68, Fitzgerald Way, Salford M6 5HW. Hours: 15 hours per week over 2‑3 days, including weekends on rota. Pay: £12.71 per hour plus reward and benefit scheme.
About the role
As a shop assistant you will help create a well‑presented shop where customers receive great service. You will sort and size stock, assist customers with their purchases, and may be required to move stock, including lifting heavy goods or furniture.
Responsibilities
- Maximise donated income through proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock to agreed levels, and stock planning.
- Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring you and your colleagues’ health and safety is a priority.
- Manage effective stock processes to ensure the shop is well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock at all times.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in‑store campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives.
Minimum Essential Criteria
- Customer Service Experience.
- Cash Handling / Till work.
- Basic IT skills (emails / instant messaging / video calls).
- Organisational Skills.
