Shop Assistant – Sue Ryder Charity shop, Quora Retail Park, Clayton Rd, Bradford BD7 2RE. 22.5 hours per week over 7 days. £12.21 per hour + rewards & benefits. From 1 April 2026 the rate of pay will be at least £12.71 per hour.
Be there when it matters. Sue Ryder is one of the largest charity retailers in the UK, funding vital care and support services through every item sold in our shops. We aim to inspire communities to provide more care for more people and to reduce, reuse and recycle where possible.
We operate a range of shops, including boutiques, vintage and retro stores, and large format stores. Our Bradford store is in Quora Retail Park next to Home Bargains with a free car park at the front. There is a donation station at the back of the store. We are currently looking for volunteers alongside paid roles. The working environment is described as fun and relaxed, with opportunities to enhance skills and build friendships.
New superstore in Bradford selling fashion, furniture, homewares, electrics, white goods and a range of brand new goods. The team focuses on delivering excellent customer service and supporting fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Help create a well-presented shop where customers receive great service.
- Sort and size stock; assist customers with purchases; move stock as required (may involve lifting heavy goods or furniture).
- Maximise donated income through proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock to agreed levels and stock planning.
- Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping; prioritise health and safety for you and colleagues.
- Manage stock processes to ensure the shop is well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock at all times.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder; support in-store campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives.
Essential Criteria:
- Customer service experience
- Cash handling/till work
- Basic IT skills (emails, instant messaging, video calls)
- Organisational skills
- Lone working experience
