Sue Ross Recruitment are absolutely delighted to be working with their client in the recruitment of an Interim Social Media Manager. You will be responsible for leading the organisation's high-profile digital activity and shaping how their brand connects with audiences across the region.
Part of your role will be taking responsibility for setting and delivering the social media strategy, managing content planning across short- and long-term timelines. The role blends proactive campaigns with fast-paced reactive work, and you’ll oversee the creation of engaging digital and multimedia content. The successful candidate will ensure consistent messaging, strong brand presence, and accessible communication. Using data and audience insight, you’ll refine performance, support digital advertising, manage approvals and scheduling.
About you
You’re an experienced social media or digital communications professional who thrives in a busy, high-visibility environment. You understand platforms, trends, and audiences, and you know how to create content that lands. Organised, creative, and collaborative, you work confidently with senior stakeholders and creative teams. You use insight to drive improvement, and you bring strong judgement, attention to detail, and an understanding of reputational risk.
Experience in the public sector or local authority industry would be a distinct advantage. It is essential that you have a qualification supporting your career path and this combined with significant experience delivering digital and social communications activity across multiple platforms. You will also be competent with various design software including Canva aligning within strategic objectives.
Our client offers a unique, modern and forward way of working including offering hybrid working. The role will be 37 hours per week and there is the potential that the role could become permanent. We would love to hear from you.
