Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected Law Firm, with offices based across the Sheffield and North East Derbyshire region. We are looking for an experienced receptionist professional. As part of our clients reception team, you will be responsible for delivering a first-class front-of-house experience. You’ll handle incoming calls, greet clients, support colleagues, and carry out a range of administrative and facilities tasks that keep the firm operating efficiently. This role requires someone who takes pride in their work, communicates clearly, and consistently represents the firm’s ethos and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-of-House Duties — Greet all clients and visitors warmly, manage enquiries, and maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area.
- Telephone Handling — Process all incoming calls promptly and courteously, take accurate messages, and provide telephone support to partners and staff.
- Meeting Support — Prepare refreshments, monitor interview rooms, and ensure supplies (pads, pens, water, etc.) are fully stocked.
- Administrative Tasks — Photocopying, scanning, faxing, certifying ID, accepting cheques, preparing receipts, and handling hand deliveries/collections.
- Data & Record Keeping — Log overseas calls, track new enquiries daily, update spreadsheets, and action emails sent to the firm’s info inbox.
- Facilities Support — Monitor cleaning standards, replenish stationery, kitchen, and bathroom supplies, and report issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Teamwork — Work collaboratively to ensure reception is always covered and tasks are completed efficiently.
