Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected, and very well-established law firm. We’re seeking a Legal Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis, to join our clients’ Private Client team at their Bakewell office, providing vital support with the preparation and processing of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). This role is essential to ensuring a seamless experience for clients during significant legal processes. You\’ll play a hands-on role in preparing documents, maintaining accurate records, supporting client appointments, and keeping the department running smoothly. Key Responsibilities for the Private Client Administrator role: Will & LPA Support * Prepare Wills for engrossment and signing, ensuring formatting and presentation standards are met * Attend Will signings with Fee Earners to ensure documents are properly executed * Submit LPA documentation to the Office of the Public Guardian * Organise and manage long-term storage of original documents Administrative Support * Provide daily admin support to the Wills and LPA team * Open, close, and archive client files in line with firm procedures * Manage secure records and ensure data integrity Client Interaction * Handle incoming calls, relay messages, and book client appointments * Provide updates to clients on behalf of Fee Earners where appropriate Billing & Departmental Support * Assist with preparing and issuing invoices for Will and LPA services * Format documents, maintain template files, and manage outgoing/incoming correspondence via MatterSphere * Support colleagues during peak periods or absences to maintain service standards Candidate Requirements for the Private Client Administrator role: * Prior experience in a legal or professional services environment (desirable) * Strong administrative and organisational skills with a high level of accuracy * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * A proactive mindset and a genuine focus on client care * Confidence using case management systems (training can be provided) What’s on Offer for the Private Client Administrator role: * Competitive starting salary depending on level of experience * Flexible hybrid working available * Support provided for apprenticeship and training opportunities This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and professional environment where your contributions will make a meaningful difference to clients and colleagues alike.
