Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected Sheffield-based engineering company, to recruit a Part-Time HR Advisor for a permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly growing organisation known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence within the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing professional HR advice and operational support across the business, ensuring compliance with employment law while fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. Due to business growth, this is a newly created role, therefore it is an excellent opportunity to really make a difference! Key Responsibilities for the HR Advisor role: • Provide managers with expert advice and support on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability cases. • Assist with or conduct HR investigations and hearings, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes. • Interpret and apply HR policies, ensuring compliance with current UK employment legislation. • Support recruitment and onboarding processes – preparing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews, and managing offer and induction stages. • Ensure all employment contracts and documentation are accurate, compliant, and securely stored. • Support managers with performance reviews and employee development plans, helping to identify and coordinate training needs. • Maintain accurate HR data and records, preparing reports on absence, turnover, and headcount. • Process and verify timesheets and attendance data for payroll purpose Candidate Requirements for the HR Advisor role: • Previous experience in an HR role within a fast-paced environment. • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Highly organised with strong administrative skills and great attention to detail. • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous.
