Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a well respected, and established law firm in the recruitment of a Medical Negligence Legal Assistant/Secretary, on a part-time basis working 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality administrative support to the medical negligence solicitors and legal team.
- Managing client correspondence, ensuring that all queries are dealt with promptly and professionally.
- Organising and maintaining legal documents, ensuring all records are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Drafting legal documents, including letters, reports, and claims, under the direction of solicitors.
- Liaising with clients, healthcare providers, and other relevant parties.
- Assisting with case management, including preparing documents for hearings and meetings.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism and care.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a legal assistant or secretary role, ideally within medical negligence, personal injury or medical secretarial/admin support role.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- A proactive, client-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is desirable but not essential.
