Sue Ross Recruitment are seeking a motivated Legal Collector to join an ever expanding Debt Recovery Team in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a well-established and growing organisation. Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and secure commitments to resolve overdue accounts.
- Monitor payment arrangements to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage a case diary system, taking appropriate follow-up actions.
- Assess pre-legal debts for suitability for legal proceedings.
- Initiate and progress legal actions for debt recovery through county courts.
- Liaise with courts, enforcement agencies, and service providers to maintain high standards.
- Review and correct cases that fail automated legal processing.
- Make and receive collection calls while maintaining professionalism.
- Work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring high accuracy and quality.
- Uphold integrity and professional conduct in line with SRA requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recently acquired Law Degree.
- Minimum 12 months administrative experience.
- Strong IT skills, with the ability to adapt to new systems.
- Effective problem-solving abilities to negotiate resolutions.
- Confidence in handling telephone communications with customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work to targets, with bonuses offered based on performance.
