Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected professional services company, to recruit a Part-Time Administrative Assistant for a permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and supportive office environment, where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will be a versatile and proactive individual who enjoys variety, working across different departments to provide essential support. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the business, stepping in where needed to support colleagues in Sales, Finance, and Reception. Key Responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant role: • Sales Support – pulling together information to produce accurate quotes and liaising directly with customers to chase any missing or additional details. • Finance Support – assisting with data entry using Exact software, processing financial information accurately, and providing additional support to the Finance team during busy periods. • Reception Cover – meeting and greeting visitors, handling incoming calls and emails, covering the main reception desk when the part-time Receptionist is away, and arranging refreshments or hospitality when required. • General Administration – working closely with senior colleagues to provide day-to-day administrative support, using Word and Excel to prepare and update documents, and assisting with ad-hoc tasks across all departments. Candidate Requirements for the Administrative Assistant role: • Strong administrative skills, with experience managing databases, office systems, or providing cross-department support. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence when liaising with customers and colleagues. • Ability to work in an organised and methodical way, managing multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. • A flexible and adaptable nature, willing to step in wherever needed across the business. • Proficiency with Word and Excel (essential), and confidence in learning new systems quickly. • A team-oriented approach, with a positive outlook, sense of humour, and willingness to help others. • Computer literacy and the ability to work confidently with a range of office technology.
