A University in London has a new Fixed Term contract opportunity within their Library for a Team Leader to look after their Library Collections Services. Working across the university and with external partners and networks, the post holder is responsible for the management of Collections and Archives and Discovery Services.
Key Job Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team
- The acquisition and delivery of content, for both campus-based students and collaborative partnership arrangements
- Overseeing e-resource management, subscription reviews, document delivery, metadata services
- Development of the library systems supporting these activities.
The successful candidate will have a successful Library and Information background and will have worked in a similar role with library and collections management experience at this level, including staff management and academic library services and resources management.
Key Job and Person Specifications include:
- A dedicated Library background including a library qualification or chartership
- Staff and budget management
- Knowledge of Higher Education Library Services
- Collection development within HE or similar education institution
- Licensing for partnerships
- Supplier Management including negotiation
