We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to join our growing project delivery team in Manchester.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing programmes and schedules for tender and will report into the pre-construction manager.
They will also need to support production planning for the modular buildings and conveyance systems.
There will also be a requirement to support individual projects by maintaining, and monitoring project schedules for large-scale engineering and construction projects, ensuring effective planning and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Asta or Microsoft Project.
- Prepare baseline programmes, resource-loaded schedules, and progress updates.
- Monitor project performance against key milestones and identify schedule risks.
- Produce critical path analyses, look-ahead programmes, and recovery plans.
- Coordinate planning activities with project managers, engineering teams, procurement, and subcontractors.
- Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports for senior management and clients.
- Support change management, delay analysis, and extension of time submissions where required.
- Ensure compliance with contractual planning requirements and company procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline;
- Minimum 5 years' planning experience on major infrastructure, building, or industrial projects;
- Proven experience working on large projects;
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 or Asta and Microsoft Project is essential;
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling techniques, earned value management, and risk analysis;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
