We're looking for an inspiring Speech & Drama Teacher to join our friendly freelance team, delivering engaging group lessons within our long-established programme at Wallington High School for Girls. The Role
You'll deliver engaging Speech & Drama lessons following the LAMDA syllabus, helping students develop confidence, creativity and outstanding communication skills while preparing them for LAMDA examinations.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering inspiring group lessons
- Preparing students for LAMDA examinations
- Planning lessons using our shared schemes of work and teaching resources
- Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
- Working collaboratively with colleagues
- Completing routine freelance administration, including lesson planning and invoicing
Working Pattern
School Lessons
- Tuesdays: Approximately 3.00pm–5.00pm and/or
- Wednesdays: Approximately 3.00pm–5.00pm
Plus:
- Two LAMDA examination Sundays each year (February & June)
Private tuition opportunities are also available for teachers wishing to expand their workload.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience teaching Speech & Drama, Performing Arts or Drama Education.
- Inspires confidence and creativity in young people.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Holds (or is working towards) a degree in Theatre, Drama, Education or a related discipline.
- Has experience of the LAMDA syllabus (desirable but not essential for exceptional applicants).
Many of our teachers combine their work with Such Stuff alongside professional performing careers, directing, writing, classroom teaching or other freelance creative work.
