Hybrid from any Succession office location. We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a senior, commercially minded leader to step into a key role within Succession Advisory Services (SAS). The role provides the chance to shape the future direction of SAS, combining strategic, commercial and people leadership with accountability for distribution, key strategic relationships and the ongoing success of our SAS propositions.
Reporting to the Strategy and Propositions Director, you will help lead SAS as a commercially effective, well‑governed and high‑performing business area. Working closely with the Director of Investment and other senior stakeholders, you will drive strategic execution, strengthen insight through data and reporting, and ensure propositions are effectively delivered, embedded and sustained.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the SAS Distribution team, providing senior leadership, clear direction, coaching and performance management to build a high‑performing, commercially focused function.
- Owning and delivering the SAS distribution strategy, driving adviser engagement and adoption of propositions, and acting as a senior escalation point for distribution‑related risks and issues.
- Acting as senior relationship owner for key strategic partners, ensuring strong governance, alignment to objectives and effective delivery, and representing SAS at senior internal and external forums.
- Providing senior oversight of strategic delivery, translating SAS priorities into clear, sustainable outcomes and embedding initiatives into business‑as‑usual activity with clear ownership and accountability.
- Operating as business manager for SAS, with accountability for data, MI and reporting that supports decision‑making, governance, performance management and continuous improvement.
- Providing commercial and proposition stewardship, ensuring SAS propositions remain competitive, well positioned and aligned to business strategy, client outcomes and market insight.
To be successful in the role you will need:
- Strong knowledge of the UK wealth management environment, including distribution models, commercial drivers and proposition positioning.
- Senior leadership experience within financial services, with a proven track record of leading and managing distribution, commercial or client‑facing teams.
- Demonstrable experience owning and managing strategic relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of governance, risk and regulatory considerations relevant to investment propositions and distribution activity.
- Highly commercial and data‑driven, with experience using MI and insight to inform decision‑making, prioritisation and performance management.
- Clear, confident and resilient leader with strong judgement, stakeholder management and communication skills, able to operate effectively in complex, fast‑paced environments.
