Home based with links to one of our UK offices. Competitive basic salary (negotiable dependant on experience) + bonus. We have over 900 employees and 200 Wealth Planners who provide wealth management and financial planning services to individuals and corporate clients across the UK via our network of offices. We are looking for an experienced Mortgage and Protection Adviser to play a key role in strengthening and evolving our internal mortgage and protection proposition. This is a fantastic opportunity for a knowledgeable adviser who is passionate about high‑quality advice, excellent client outcomes, and continuous improvement.
As a Mortgage and Protection Adviser, you will provide high‑quality mortgage and protection advice across a range of client needs, while also helping to refine and enhance our internal processes. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure a smooth client journey and a consistently high standard of advice.
Key responsibilities:- Providing compliant, high‑quality mortgage and protection advice across new purchases, remortgages, product transfers and associated protection needs
- Leading confident, client‑focused protection conversations, educating clients on risk and recommending appropriate solutions aligned to individual circumstances and best practice
- Managing cases end‑to‑end, from initial fact‑find and research through to application, completion and post‑completion support
- Reviewing, enhancing and influencing internal mortgage and protection processes, workflows, systems and documentation to improve efficiency and adviser usability
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including Area Managers, Planners, CDLs and Project Management teams, to support seamless case progression
- Maintaining high standards of file quality, documentation, suitability reporting and regulatory compliance
- Proactively identifying risks, gaps or inefficiencies and recommending practical, sustainable improvements
- Promoting a positive culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement across the mortgage and protection function
- CeMAP and ideally, CeRER qualified
- Experience of whole‑of‑market mortgage advisory experience
- Strong knowledge of mortgage and protection products and regulatory requirements
- Confident communicator with a client‑focused approach
- Highly organised with the ability to manage cases end‑to‑end
