We're looking for an experienced PMO Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our Project Management Office and play a key role in shaping and assuring delivery across our change portfolio. This is a hands‑on role for a change professional who thrives on robust governance, high‑quality reporting and partnering with senior stakeholders to provide confidence in delivery. You'll work closely with Project and Programme Managers, Business Analysts, Finance and key wider business stakeholders to ensure change initiatives are planned, governed and reported consistently, in line with our Change Framework.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the day-to-day operation of the PMO, embedding PMO standards, processes and tools.
- Supporting change governance forums, including preparation of materials, quality assurance and tracking actions and decisions.
- Producing accurate, timely and insightful portfolio and project reporting covering status, RAID, finances, milestones, dependencies and benefits.
- Maintaining portfolio plans, roadmaps and capacity views to support prioritisation and informed decision-making.
- Providing clear analysis and insight to senior stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks and delivery confidence.
- Partnering with Project and Programme Managers to support realistic planning, forecasting and delivery controls, constructively challenging where required.
- Supporting financial and benefits tracking across the change portfolio.
- Driving continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates and reporting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a PMO Manager, Senior PMO Analyst or similar role within a change or transformation environment.
- Strong understanding of PMO, project and portfolio governance.
- Hands‑on experience producing portfolio‑level reporting and providing delivery assurance.
- Experience working with project financials, RAID and benefits tracking.
- Confident communicator with the ability to present complex information clearly and challenge constructively.
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and experienced in managing senior stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience of common PMO tools.
- A recognised project or programme management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, PMP or equivalent).
