We're looking for a driven and detail‑oriented Financial Crime Analyst to join our Risk and Compliance team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in protecting the business, supporting the development of our Financial Crime Framework, and ensuring strong governance across all financial crime controls.
You will work closely with the Financial Crime Director (MLRO) and Financial Crime Manager, providing second line oversight, supporting first line teams, and helping to manage financial crime risks across the business.
Responsibilities- Supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of fraud prevention, AML, CTF and due diligence processes.
- Reviewing screening alerts and advising on appropriate due diligence actions.
- Managing outputs from PEP, RCA and adverse media screening activities.
- Providing oversight of client risk assessments and monitoring quality and consistency.
- Reviewing transaction monitoring outputs and escalating potential suspicious activity when required.
- Supporting the financial crime inbox, responding to queries and escalating where needed.
- Conducting horizon scanning for regulatory developments and assessing impacts.
- Producing financial crime MI and contributing to monthly reporting.
- Supporting financial crime training and awareness initiatives.
- Performing control testing in line with Risk and Compliance Self‑Assessments.
- Understanding of FCA requirements and UK financial crime regulations, including JMLSG, FATF and HM Treasury guidance.
- Experience working within UK financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to build relationships across the business.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- A relevant financial crime qualification (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, CIFAS) is desirable, but not essential.
- Experience in wealth management or a financial crime prevention role.
- Experience using electronic screening tools or similar systems.
