We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Media Assistant to join our dynamic team and help enhance our online presence.
This role is designed for someone at the start of their career. We’re looking for attitude and curiosity as much as polished experience. If you’re keen to learn and ready to get stuck in, then this could be the role for you!
We’re a financial advice firm which means we help people make better decisions about their money. The content you will help to produce has real purpose: helping people grow, protect and transfer wealth with confidence.
We’re looking for someone creative, curious and hands-on – someone at the start of their career who’s ready to get stuck in with real content and media work. You’ll be part of our communications team, helping to shape how we show up online across video, audio, social and web.
You don’t need to be an expert, just someone who’s comfortable experimenting with content, and who has a good instinct for what works on platforms like LinkedIn or YouTube.
As part of your application, you will be asked to include a link to something you’ve created online, this could be a short video, podcast, or other media project from your studies or personal work. We can’t get a feel for what you’re capable of without seeing it, so applications without a link unfortunately won’t be considered.
The Role
You’ll work closely with our Digital & Content Lead and the wider comms and marketing team to plan, create and publish content across LinkedIn, YouTube and our website. That means writing copy, recording and editing audio or video, uploading content through our CMS, and keeping everything tidy, accurate and on brand.
You’ll help us keep the website fresh – updating pages, reviewing what’s already there, and making suggestions to improve how it performs. There’s real variety in the tools and formats you’ll work with – from writing web copy and editing short videos, to helping with podcast audio or scheduling posts. If you’re the kind of person who likes trying new things and picking up skills as you go, this is the place for it!
There’s lots of variety here, one day you might be helping to publish a podcast, the next refreshing web copy or supporting a campaign idea. You’ll be part of planning sessions, involved in creative thinking, and learning how digital content supports a bigger brand and business message. It’s a great first role for someone who wants to build real experience.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Content Creation: Write clear, concise copy for digital use, including LinkedIn posts, website content, and campaign materials.
- Visual Support: Assist with visual content creation using templates, tools, and design best practices.
- Content Management: Help manage the content calendar and coordinate timelines to ensure timely delivery.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor content performance and suggest ways to improve engagement.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure brand tone, consistency, and compliance across all digital channels.
- CMS Management: Confidently use a website CMS to update or publish content.
- Social Media Management: Posting to LinkedIn using native platform tools or scheduling software.
- Content Editing: Familiarity with basic image or content editing tools.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- English Language GCSE or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience creating digital content – this could be professional experience or from uni, personal projects or volunteering
- Confidence in using digital tools and platforms.
- A basic understanding of how SEO works.
- Comfortable writing short form copy and editing media content.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new tools and adapt in a fast-moving digital environment.
