We are currently recruiting a Financial Controller for a privately owned, highly successful manufacturing and engineering business with operations across multiple international markets. With a long-established reputation for technical excellence, quality and reliability, we are seeking a Financial Controller who will play a pivotal role in supporting their next phase of growth. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced finance professional who values stability, long-term commitment and building something meaningful within a business.

The Role

Reporting in to the Finance Director and working closely with the senior leadership team, the Financial Controller will take responsibility for the financial stewardship of the group. You will oversee all core finance functions, ensure robust financial control and provide insight that supports both operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing the finance team across multiple international entities
  • Producing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Managing budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning
  • Overseeing statutory reporting, audits and tax compliance
  • Driving strong financial controls, processes and governance
  • Partnering with operational and commercial teams to improve performance and margins
  • Supporting business growth, investment decisions and long-term planning

Key Requirements

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Significant experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment
  • A track record of working within international or multi-entity businesses
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
  • A career history that demonstrates stability, loyalty and commitment — you value building depth, trust and long-term impact rather than frequent moves
  • An ability to start work in 4-6 weeks is essential

This is an opportunity to join a business that invests for the long term. Their ownership structure allows them to focus on sustainable growth, quality and people rather than short-term results. You will have the chance to make a genuine impact, build lasting relationships and become a trusted financial leader within a stable and well-run organisation.
