We're currently partnering with a high-growth, highly profitable FMCG / retail distribution business with an international footprint to appoint a Head of Finance β a true No.1 finance role reporting directly to a highly commercial and driven Managing Director. This is a key leadership position for a senior finance professional who wants to operate at the heart of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business and play a critical role in shaping its next phase of growth.
As Head of Finance, you will take full ownership of the finance function and act as a trusted commercial partner to the MD and wider leadership team. You will be responsible for both strategic and operational finance, driving performance, insight and decision-making across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the overall financial strategy of the business
- Providing commercial insight to support growth and profitability
- Budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
- Cashflow management and working capital optimisation
- Developing financial systems, reporting and controls
- Leading, mentoring and building a high-performing finance team

The Candidate
This opportunity will suit a commercial, ambitious, hands-on finance leader who thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments and enjoys being close to the business. You are likely to be:
- A current or aspiring Head of Finance / Finance Director
- Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Experienced within FMCG, retail, distribution or a similar commercial sector
- Commercially minded with strong business partnering skills
- Comfortable operating as a No.1 finance lead in an entrepreneurial setting
- Ambitious, proactive and confident influencing senior stakeholders
