A fantastic opportunity to work alongside the product development and technical teams advising on fabric standards and procedures, sustainability, compliance, and care labelling has come up with a high profile fashion business.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure fabric is quality managed to meet performance standards and market regulations whilst maintaining critical path dates.
- Proactively troubleshoot possible production issues regarding fabric characteristics, technical construction, lead times, colours, and provide solutions or recommendations to mitigate risk in bulk production.
- Manage test reports, implementing corrective action or solutions where fabric performance falls below expected standard.
- Maintain database of fabric suppliers, keeping certificates and actioning audits.
- Manage all fabric sustainability requirements and verification process including GRS, RWS.
Experience and Qualifications:
- In depth woven and knitted fabric production and testing process knowledge.
- Confident in implementing robust and efficient fabric management systems.
- Understanding and experience of sustainable fabric standards (Textile Exchange, BCI etc) and verification process (scope certificates, transaction certificates etc).
- Informed on REACH regulations and other relevant global substances legislation.
- Experience working in or visiting fabric manufacturers.
