A group of popular clothing and footwear brands is seeking a Merchandiser to join their team in either London or Watford. They are looking for someone with over 4 years of experience in merchandising, inventory management, or retail analytics to support the team on several brands by providing detailed reports, product management, product selection, and optimising inventory levels to drive sales.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Generate weekly, quarterly, and seasonal trade and inventory performance reports
- Conduct post-event and promotion analyses
- Prepare seasonal product reviews
- Perform monthly website analyses
- Conduct competitive analyses
- Forecast trends and provide product development recommendations to the design team
- Develop assortment plans within Open-To-Buy (OTB) parameters
- Select products and place orders in line with OTB and launch goals
- Prepare seasonal buy reviews, summarising purchases and identifying gaps
- Manage post-order gaps and cancellations to minimise impact on availability
- Work with marketing on launch-specific plans and product packs for website uploads
- Coordinate delivery schedules with operations to ensure timely market launches
- Adjust in-season buys based on performance and inventory levels
- Oversee inventory allocations to e-commerce channels for optimal distribution
- Plan replenishments to maintain ideal inventory levels
- Create monthly reports to monitor inventory against targets
- Develop and execute promotional strategies to meet revenue and inventory goals
