Our client has a portfolio of reputable sports and streetwear brands and are looking to appoint a Shipping Co-ordinator to their team
We are looking for someone with previous experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations (typically 1–3 years). Should have knowledge of import/export documentation, INCOTERMS, and customs clearance processes, and excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
In addition you will need strong attention to detail to verify shipping documentation and ensure regulatory compliance, and problem–solving abilities to resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and clearance issues efficiently.
The role will involve monitoring the PO schedule (Ex-factory), follow up with suppliers for shipment bookings, and notify stakeholders of potential delays in advance.
Coordinating with suppliers, forwarders, and 3PL logistics partners to ensure timely dispatch, shipment, and delivery.
Confirming shipping schedules with suppliers and freight forwarders to meet cargo cut-off times. Tracking shipments, provide timely updates to stakeholders, and report progress to the shipping manager and internal teams.
Verifying and approving import documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) to ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements, whilst working with customs agents to resolve clearance issues and prevent delays.
You will also monitor shipping costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain accurate shipment records to support audits and reporting. Resolve shipping issues with forwarders and address discrepancies in documentation promptly, and conduct regular analyses and reconciliations of shipments and invoices.
