A leading high street fashion retailer is looking for an Apparel Product Developer to join their in‑house “own brand” team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the High Street fashion industry, working across men’s, women’s, junior, and accessories categories.
Strong self‑motivation, time‑management skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhering to critical paths to ensure the smooth progression of the product development process.
- Managing all seal samples.
- Conducting fit sessions to ensure proper garment fit.
- Measuring and providing detailed feedback on own-brand samples.
- Preparing comprehensive workbooks with accurate specifications, grade rules, testing protocols, and risk assessments.
- Ensuring products comply with regulations, safety standards, and legislation.
- Testing product performance and overseeing quality control.
- Managing and supporting design handovers.
- Serving as the key point of contact throughout the development process.
- Collaborating with overseas suppliers and traveling when necessary.
- Working closely with the design and buying teams to offer guidance on new product development.
