A leading company in promotional merchandise is seeking a Product Compliance Manager to oversee and enhance its product compliance processes and procedures.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products, across categories such as Toys, Electronics, Packaging, Food Contact Materials, and Labelling, are compliant with applicable regulations and standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting risk assessments to ensure products sourced and sold meet all relevant compliance requirements.
- Creating and maintaining Declarations of Conformity, updating them in line with changes to product legislation.
- Guiding, training, and updating the wider business on compliance matters, and maintaining a compliance roadmap to prepare the business for upcoming regulatory changes.
- Arranging product testing in accordance with relevant standards.
- Collaborating with quality teams to manage relationships with third-party compliance partners.
- Working with suppliers to obtain valid and up-to-date test reports for products.
- Engaging with regulatory bodies as needed.
- Maintaining a database of approved products and ensuring all technical files are complete and up to date.
- Responding to external product compliance inquiries and providing client support as required.
- Offering internal support through the compliance helpdesk.
