We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our client, a successful high street fashion retailer, within their merchandising team. Your contributions will have a direct impact on stores, the website, and overall business growth. You'll be involved in both branded and own-brand products, working in a team that actively supports personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a weekly summary of key performance indicators within your areas of responsibility and across the wider business, including sales, stock, and profit versus budget and last year's figures.
- Develop and implement weekly trading actions to optimize department sales and margins.
- Serve as the key contact for all analysis related to your areas of responsibility.
- Maintain weekly stock, sales, and intake forecasts to drive sales, minimize risks, and communicate with the Distribution Centre for short-term workflow planning and long-term budgeting.
- Collaborate with the team to manage branch inventory levels, allocations, and replenishment as needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stores regarding inventory availability queries.
- Analyse and summarize markdowns and promotional activities for your departments and the wider business.
- Ensure markdowns are accurately reflected in the system according to the markdown calendar.
- Engage with other internal teams to enhance performance and promote best practices.
- Act as a key contact for merchandising reporting and the use of merchandising processes and systems.
