Assistant Buyer (Hybrid) We're looking for a commercially minded and enthusiastic
Assistant Buyer to join a growing purchasing and merchandising function.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with product sourcing, buying, merchandising, or procurement experience who enjoys working with products, market trends, suppliers, and data-driven decision-making.
About the Role As an Assistant Buyer, you'll support the development and management of product ranges across multiple markets, working closely with internal stakeholders and supplier partners to deliver innovative, sustainable, and commercially successful product solutions.
Key Responsibilities Source, sample, evaluate, and present product ranges that meet customer and brand requirements.
Refresh and develop product assortments based on market needs and performance insights.
Analyse sales and performance data to support product selection and buying decisions.
Identify innovative, sustainable, compliant, and profitable product opportunities.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and service levels.
Prepare pricing models and margin analysis using Excel.
Recommend optimal order quantities based on commercial and operational requirements.
Support product setup, purchase order management, and product information accuracy within internal systems.
About You We're looking for someone who can demonstrate: Experience in buying, merchandising, procurement, sourcing, or a related product-focused role.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability.
A passion for products, consumer trends, and identifying new opportunities.
Confidence working with data, spreadsheets, and pricing analysis.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP, purchasing, or merchandising systems is advantageous.
