A leading high street fashion retailer is looking for an Apparel Product Developer to join their in-house "own brand" team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the High Street fashion industry, working across men's, women's, junior, and accessories categories. Strong self-motivation, time management skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhering to critical paths to ensure the smooth progression of the product development process.
- Managing all seal samples.
- Conducting fit sessions to ensure proper garment fit.
- Measuring and providing detailed feedback on own-brand samples.
- Preparing comprehensive workbooks with accurate specifications, grade rules, testing protocols, and risk assessments.
- Ensuring products comply with regulations, safety standards, and legislation.
- Testing product performance and overseeing quality control.
- Managing and supporting design handovers.
- Serving as the key point of contact throughout the development process.
- Collaborating with overseas suppliers and traveling when necessary.
- Working closely with the design and buying teams to offer guidance on new product development.
