We are looking for a Senior Streetwear Designer to join a brand on a rapid growth journey. The brand collaborates and is inspired by a leading music artist in the UK.
My client is looking for someone with an in-depth understanding of multi-product apparel design, including jersey, woven, and outerwear. Previous experience in collaborations and working with music artists is desirable. Strong graphic design skills are a must, along with expertise in applying graphics to apparel through print techniques, applications, fabric, and trim development.
Your role will involve translating references and inspiration into commercial collections, collaborating closely with the Head of Design and a team of designers and brand directors. Experience in garment construction and a genuine interest in streetwear culture are also important.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Research new colours, trims, and fabrics, creating inspiring mood boards
- Produce sketches, technical drawings, and tech packs in Adobe Illustrator with meticulous attention to detail
- Confidently present designs in front of brand directors
- Hand over tech packs to the product development team, ensuring key design details are accurately translated
- Meet key deadlines consistently
Experience Required:
- Ability to create exciting seasonal collections aligned with provided research and direction, from concept through production
- In-depth knowledge of current and past streetwear trends
- Ideally educated to a degree level in fashion design
- Immersed in style and culture
- Excellent time management and strong communication skills
